Brendan Murphy, proprietor and head chef at the Four Liars trained as a chef in Athenry, Co. Galway. He then worked in Germany, France, Switzerland, Canada, Russia, and the USA before returning to Ireland. In 1992 he opened the doors of the Four Liars Bistro and Steakhouse, and has been serving a menu that contains flavours of all the countries he worked in whilst using only local ingredients of the highest quality.

Brendan has cooked for George Bush, Liz Taylor, Willie Brandt, Jackie Kennedy, Elton John, Richard Burton and Queen Elizabeth II to name abut a few. Brendan is also a keen artist and drawer, and many of his works of art can be found on display on the walls of the Four Liars Bistro. At the Four Liars we offer a menu that is international in flavour, whilst using locally sourced, high-quality ingredients, such as beef from O'Flynn's in Sunday's Well, chicken from the English Market in Cork, and seafood from Goodfish, Carrigaline, Co. Cork. A Lá Carte, Early Bird, Dinner and Sunday Lunch menus are available. We also provide a catering service for events such as barbecues, parties, and weddings.
